![]() ![]() ![]() Dedicated players have to be willing to compromise if we want our needs catered to. This is the mentality we're dealing with. The point of their business is to make money, and casual players are a bigger money making demographic than hardcore ones. Bamco's motivation is not to create and support the best possible fighting game for dedicated players. The whole idea of paying for what should be a standard feature is repellent, but we don't live in an ideal world. : *laughs* We have comic book characters in our list, yeah.Ĭlick to shrink.Absolutely. : Ohhhhh it’s a sensitive question…I love Griffith’s beauty ahhhh ! Y.T : Kayane, who do you prefer between Griffith and Guts ? : Oooh, I thought it was impossible to have anime characters ! Now that i think about, BERSERK would be so perfect !!!Īh but, Griffith’s style is maybe too close to Raphael, and Guts is too close to Siegfried / Nightmare… For Geralt, both game’s worlds were similar, and for 2B, the game shared Soul Calibur’s audience. We have to make sure both audiences match. I can’t say which comic or anime, but some characters target people outside the Soul Calibur community. : ANIME, MAYBE ? COMICS ? (JAPANESE PEOPLE OFTEN SAY “COMICS” FOR ANIME/MANGA) : We do have a list ! We always have one ! : But you told me you had a very long list of potential guests ! : New guests !? Oh no no no, no more guests ! : At least it’s good, because you’re thinking about doing world tours and doing more seasons will mean more characters, like new characters and new guests. We are not sure if we will be releasing it, but we are open to the idea and are looking into it. If we were to provide the data, it should be done properly with all the necessary information and explanation. Having said that, we also are aware that the fighting game scene is becoming more and more competitive each passing day and that many players would enjoy an official release of the frame data. The second reason is that officially releasing the data would put off new comers to the series by giving the vibe that the frame data must be studied closely for the game to be enjoyable which is not what we are aiming for. If we released the data officially we would be undermining this experience that many enjoy. The first reason is that the act of figuring out frame data and sharing it within the community is fun and part of the game experience. Please provide us the frame data for each character and make it available for browsing in the Training Mode.Īs Project Soul, not releasing frame data is part of our policy. : That’s one of the approaches thought about, yes.ġ9. : SO BASICALLY, YOU’RE FACING A DILEMMA WHERE YOU WANT TO MAKE THE GAME APPEALING TO NEW PLAYERS BY NOT INCLUDING IT, AND MAYBE PUT IT OUT AS DLC FOR PLAYERS WHO ARE SERIOUS ABOUT ITS COMPETITIVE ASPECT ? ![]() Though one thing’s for sure : it won’t happen this season. : It might happen, but I can’t guarantee nor commit to that yet. ![]() We still have a lot of things to do with Season 2 before that, mainly expanding the game’s audience. In the case of Soul Calibur, we’re not thinking about releasing the frame data yet, it’s still too early. That’s also the reason we made it part of the DLC. And yet, we’re still apprehensive about disclosing our frame data, as it can feel intimidating for new players to know that they’ll have to study such things. We had been discussing about it’s inclusion for a while within the company. : It’s the first time I say that outside, but we had decided to include frame date early on during Tekken 7’s Season 3’s development. ![]()
